Vandalia Village President
This campaign is deeply personal to me, and your opinion truly matters—especially here in Vandalia. Our community was built by the dedication of those who live here, fostering a safe environment where children can thrive and everyone’s privacy is respected.
I have been part of this community since I was born. My father served on the village board and was instrumental in getting stop signs approved for our streets. My grandfather ran a body shop downtown, which, although it tragically burned down, remains a cherished part of our family history. This town is my home, and I am committed to seeing the best version of Vandalia come to life.
To preserve Vandalia’s unique character, we need open communication between the village board and all residents. It’s essential for everyone to be informed and have the opportunity to voice their opinions on decisions that directly impact them.
One of my priorities will be to make the list of available grants and social services public. Governor Whitmire has been allocating funds to local governments for improvements, and it’s crucial that the people of this village are aware of these opportunities to ensure they have a fair chance to utilize them.
Additionally, I will be revisiting our policy on code enforcement. Many residents have expressed concerns that our code enforcement officers have unfairly targeted individuals and overstepped their bounds. Addressing these concerns is vital to maintaining trust and fairness in our community.
These are not the only things on my agenda, but I believe they are pressing issues that need to be addressed right away. As I seek your support, I will also listen to what the people of this town have to say about the current state of our village. I will ask how they would fix some of the issues they see or how they might improve communication if they were president of the village. This approach ensures that everyone feels heard and valued.
With all of your support, we can ensure that Vandalia remains a place where families can thrive and feel safe for generations to come. Together, we can build a future that honors our past and embraces the best possibilities for our community. I am, and always will be, a passionate resident of Vandalia, committed to our shared success.
